Goodbye Twenty-Twelve

Well whatya' know 2012 is about to be "soooo last year."

While a lot has happened for me in twenty twelve ( you may have heard I had a baby?!) even more has happened to the world!! I just wanted to break down the 10 most memorable happenings of this year....  in my opinion.

****Now I know, I know there was an Election, Olympic games, a cruise ship ran ashore in Italy, Whitney Houston died, and there were some horrible shootings in Colorado and Connecticut but instead of focusing on the bigger, or more devastating events like those I am taking things in a slightly different direction.

Since the election WAS a big part of this year however, I have thrown it in as a songified version of the debate.

So check out #10 of the countdown::

Ummmm..... I may or may not look up every big event that ever happens, on YouTube...in Songified version.

Next up at #9 is this guy:

Felix Baumgartner

who in case you didn't know JUMPED from like the edge of outer space! ( I feel like in that pic above he is totally saying "psssh SPACE? that's nuthin!)
seeing as how I can't seem to jump from even 3 feet up without feeling woozy.... I give him mad props!

#8 is the end of a legacy! Nah just the end of GTL and T-Shirt time being televised in the form of true reality that is Jersey Shore.

I'm guessing it had to end because one cast member got sober and another one had a baby.... I think that takes away from the "party house" just a tad, but hey they are still richer than me so ummm good .for .them. I guess.

# 7 on the countdown of 2012 is Jessica Simpson's baby ( Maxwell Drew) who I'm pretty sure endured at least 14 months in the womb.

 she finally escaped!

Good thing she cleared out just in time for Jessica Simpson to become the spokes woman for Weight Watchers only to get pregnant again!

While we are on the topic of people that are preggers that brings me to #6 is the obsession with Kate Middleton's womb and fetus.

I mean we already hear enough about her "royal hats" and even more about her "royal style"  do we really need to hear EVERY aspect of her "royal pregnancy??".... Come one people that is going to make for a VERY long start to 2013! ( Not to mention it is a royal pain in the butt, and we are royally screwed.) hehe

Well enough about that. Moving on.

#5 is the end of KayPat or RobStew aka: Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattenson..... I can't keep up with those celeb titles really.

Anywho, "K.Stew cheated on Rob Pat and he kicked her out, but like all celebs that still have to show up together for huge movie premiers on the daily, they worked it out and now the Twi-hards ( like me) can breathe a sigh of relief!! ** after all who wanted to sit through the child custody battle for Renesmee ;)

on to #4: Honey Boo Boo hollered for a dollar and got a show baby!

Wow.... just Wow. They will make anyone a "reality T.V" star! I admit I have only seen a few episodes (which is embarrassing enough) but it is so gross and so downright disgusting that I am still in disbelief that they were just signed for a second season...yes you heard me correctly, Honey Boo Boo (and her mom) will be filling your screen again next season. YUCK!

Next on the list is #3: The comeback of Britney Spears **tied with** the comeback of Lindsey Lohan.

ok, this was a lie. Although they have both shown their faces on TV lately (probably drunk) I am still not convinced that they have "comeback" from anywhere. Bravo to you ladies though for being back on someones payroll. No matter how desperate they must have been.

#9 is the death of the Twinkie:

That's right, this delicacy is no more.

Although I'm sure the person who is the most sad about this is Honey Boo Boo's mom, there were still plenty others emptying the shelves to stock up on the beloved Twinkie. Seeing as how they last indefinitely and were selling for high dollar on Ebay a small...and I mean small... part of me wishes I had jumped onto that bandwagon.

Saving the best for last....

The #1 Happening of 2012 was..... drum roll......brrrrrrr.....brrrrrrrrr ( did you make the sound?)

THE END OF THE WORLD! 12-21-12

way to go Mayans, you officially scared the poo out of so many people! I mean really... there were people celebrating Christmas early and everything. Lucky for you everyone had a practice round last year when Harold Camping predicted the end of the world (twice) on May 21st. and Oct. 21st.----- I actually think more people fell for that garbage then they did this.

Well, that's all folks. Hope you all have a Happy and SAFE New Year!

2013..... Here's lookin' at you kid!

Sunday Social **end of 2012 additon**

Wow.... tomorrow is the last day of 2012!! Can you believe it people??

Oh and how many of you are surprised to still be here, I mean you survived the zombie apocalypse and the "end of the world" debacle that was planned for 12/21/12 after all.

Shoot I suppose that means that many of you will have to keep up with your New Years workout schedule... you know the one that lasts half of January before you give up and make some excuse like " I don't like making New Years resolutions anyway, I'm just WAY to busy."

The only reason I can laugh about it this year is because I had a baby and was forced to jump on the workout ship early, had that not been the case I'd be right there with you.

Enough about that because it's time for you all to enjoy

1. Favorite New Years eve you’ve had before:: I used to really look forward to New Years eve when I was a kid because I got to stay up past bedtime My mom would cut up meats and cheeses and put them on a plate with some crackers, and we would have sparkling cider and be so excited to ring in the New Year. Now a days I am exhausted by 10pm. My most memorable New Years eve though was 3 or 4 years ago when I decided that I wasn't "doing New Years" and took some NyQuil before bed.... only to get a call with an invite to a party I couldn't turn down. So I drove to the party ( only like 5 mins away so chill) only to crash (DUH) and be made fun of for falling asleep AT THE PARTY!

2. Are you doing anything for NYE this year and if so what? So far the answer is no, because we have the baby and it doesn't sound like fun to go anywhere and try to get her to sleep on time etc... maybe we should have planned a party here this year!! Hubs works till 9pm anyway so hmmmm... I think the cheese and meat plate and some bubbly ( cider ) and maybe a hand or 20 of UNO with just hubs and the boy sounds nice!

3. Name a book we should all read come January? Jon would tell me to say 'The Gift of Fear'  and from what I have read it's very informational but it's not my type of book. That may be because it's not a magazine. LOL. I really should get back into reading ( as if I was ever really into it) I am going to read ' So Long Insecurity' by Beth Moore ( love her!!)

4. What are your new years resolutions? I make resolutions on the daily because I have ADHD and I am always changing my mind about them. I want to blog more, do more of the housework ( because hubs does a lot since he is so OCD about it!) take more pictures, spend more time with friends, make lots of money, be even more involved in my church, pray more, workout everyday, lose another 30lbs or so, be more organized.... the list goes on and on I think I just want to be as close to perfect as possible :)

NAAAAAAAH!!

Enjoy YOUR New Years love bugs!!

Starvation in disguise

Ok... so ya'll know how 'in-the-know' I am with diets right.... and not just in a new years resolution sorta way.

Well I heard about this new starvation method diet that I am thinking about giving a whirl. Its called the General Motors Diet. (Not even kidding, I thought it was a trick to get me to click on some link or something so I did what every computer savvy girl would do..... I crossed my fingers and clicked anyway) so far, unless I am just still falling for the trick, it looks totally legit ( read impossible to stay on) I mean I have been doing great working out and eating healthy   who knew   but maybe just one quick 10 lb weight loss would be nice!!

Here's the deal....

You eat close to nothing a limited amount of certain foods for 7 days and wa-la.... skinnier. I suppose it would be a good "detox?"

It says here that to prepare for the diet you must be able to withstand hunger pangs, and feelings of weakness ( sounds healthy right? lol)

ok, yeah so just reading that list is making me hungry.... because you can't eat! who makes these things up...anorexics? we shall see my little lemmings, I am not so sure I can hack it ( or would want to)

Just a thought. Would YOU do it?

Whistle while you work

well hellooooooo my peeps!

Happy Friday!! ** I say that with excitement for all of you who enjoy Friday as the last day of the week... since today is "Monday" for us.

So What's been on my mind you ask? ( or "what's going on Erin" if you are facebook LOL) well I will tell you and facebook since you asked.

 I **kinda**miss having a job.

I have been flirting with this idea of going back to work for awhile now. I really want to go back to Starbucks because they are my fav and I get free coffee and discounts. PSHH why did I strike that out? It's true I LOVE the percolating perks. haha see what I did there? I dunno... I love being home with my kids most of the time, and I love hangin with my mommy friends and being able to do anything and go anywhere without checking a work schedule or taking a vacation day BUUUUUT I miss bringing in an income and meeting new people, yada yada yada. I just want to work like 15-20 hours a week really just a lil' somthin somthin'

Either that or babysit someone else's kid(s) all day and drag them with me to the park and to coffee dates at Frog n Kiwi Cafe... and MOPS. Fun for me AND the kids!

I dunno, just been on my mind a lot... maybe I actually MISS the schedule of things and being busy and contributing to bills ( even if it is only one tiny bill haha) don't get me wrong I still wanna be amazeballs with my Mary Kay business but part of me wants to be needed at a specific time and place a few days/times a week.

So if you have a kid that needs watchin, a spot at Starbucks that needs fillin, or even need a virtual assistant hit me up! ( isn't that professional of me... saying "hit me up" haha) What do you think.... I need some ideas people :)

Catchya later love bugs!

30 Things:: Oh to be 16 again...NOT

Happy Thursday friends! While everyone else is celebrating the fact that tomorrow is Friday I am once again mourning the end to our "weekend" Hubs goes back to work tomorrow.

BUT....that does mean it is......

Today is a good one people....

10 THINGS I WOULD TELL MY 16 YR. OLD SELF:

#1: You really don't need an expensive, fancy car and **spoiler alert** you will wreck it.... a few times.

#2:  Don't even THINK about moving out in a year, trust me you are too young to learn those life lessons already. ( besides the fact that you will move back in with them a few more times over the next 10 years)

#3: Stop making school about socializing and maybe LEARN something!

#4: That boy that you know is wrong for you IS in fact wrong for you.

#5: You only have 2 years left as a kid because you know those teen moms you always felt sorry for.... you will be one.

#6: Enjoy the family time/ trips now because you really will miss them someday.

#7: You don't need to wear all those expensive name-brand clothes, you're just wasting your parent's money. ( you will give them all away, out of frustration, in 2 years after having a baby when they don't fit anyways)

#8: You are NOT fat!

#9: Spend more time with your little sister, she might get on your nerves now but she is going to move away someday and you will miss her like crazy!

#10: You are going to have your heart broken a few times, you are going to wonder why God is punishing you, and you will spend way to many years wondering when you will finally be happy. Relax.... this will all make you stronger
** and the answer is: in about 10 years**

At first I thought this was going to be hard to come up with 10 good things.... now I have about 50 more LOL. Not like I would have listened to ANY of this then..... because I "already knew everything."

How about you?

SIX months already!!

Oh boy Jaida are you fun these days!!! You are still such a good girl and you love to cuddle ( which I am so happy about!) You really only scream cry when you are hungry or poopy. You are usually laughing or smiling and ALWAYS laugh and smile the most for your braba (brother)! I keep saying to you "mamamamama and dadadadadadadada" just for you to pick up on but you usually just smile at me ( I'm sure you're thinking to yourself "Duh MAMA I'm not saying it when you want me too!") I can always tell when your sleepy because you rub your little eyes and put your fingers in your mouth.
You adore your "kiki" (blanky) and we have 2 so far just so we have a backup! You're still not crawling or even seeming like you want to anytime soon.... but with everything else we just wake up one day and you have learned something new. So we'll see. Your hair is growing soooo fast I even had to give your bangs a trim to keep them out of your eyes!!

Soon it will be your first Christmas.... here's the dress you will wear for church... even if you do prefer to chew on it or pull on the bow!

Mommy and Daddy love you lots and still can't wait to see how you will amaze us even more everyday!

PS:: Getting these pictures of you every month are getting more and more challenging.... here are some outtakes!!

Christmas in Heaven

My alarm went off way to early this morning and when I looked at my phone (which I silence at night) I saw that my mom had called twice already. When I texted her the reply was "call me"

I knew....

My Grams has gone to be with the Lord.

I am thankful that she will not be in pain but my heart is heavy today. It would have been my grams and pappaws 65th wedding anniversary in a few days and although my pappaw has his own health issues I cannot imagine the grief of losing your lifelong partner. I ache for my mom and my aunt and uncle because I know all too well the pain of losing a parent no matter the age or amount of time you had with a loved one it never seems like enough.

I am beyond thankful that Jordon knew her and that she was able to meet Jon. I will always have memories to share with Jaida who will never get to know her in person. I'm so glad that we all got to be together a year ago for what was now my Grams' last Christmas.

Although I grieve for her I find comfort and peace in knowing that while we celebrate the birth of  Jesus Christ here on earth she will be enjoying the biggest and best birthday party WITH HIM in heaven.

Rest in Peace Grams!

Sunday Social

This Weeks Questions:

What is the wallpaper on your cell phone?  DUH... only my fav pics of the kids ever! Jaida is on the lock screen and Jordon is on the home screen. ( without the names though... those were added for blogging purposes)

What do you keep beside your bed?  UM am I weird that I keep lotion next to the bed because I CANNOT go to bed with dry feet. haha. I think at this point it is an insane habit but seriously I have to put lotion on the feeties every night! Also have my alarm clock, a lamp, and a couple pictures.

What is your least favorite chore? putting away the laundry! YUCK .... I will wash and dry clothes all day but I truly wish they could fold themselves! This sign is about right....

If you could eliminate one thing from your daily routine, what would it be? packing my son's lunch. I know it seems silly but for some reason I really hate doing it. #firstworldproblems

What do you do to vent anger? cry,cry,cry.... then complain to my husband and probably cry some more. I am a mess. boo hoo

What is your favorite Holiday of the year and why? Christmas for sure! I just love watching the look on my son ( and now my daughter's) face!! I love traditions and the entire meaning of the day. I.LOVE.CHRISTMAS! ** this will be my first Christmas Eve service without my husband OR parents.... just me and the kiddos, then my first Christmas morning without my parents.... here's to starting traditions with my own little family!..... even if I am a little bummed**

too bad this was blurry because she had a huge blow out after this pic and I scrapped the christmas picture idea :(

until next time my people!

Joke stealer

So hey it's monday... which means I should be doing my "weekend update."

well I am not going to. I have something else on my mind....

yep. The hubs.
(of course it's a good thing he's on my mind)
but this time it's not just him.... its what he does.

HE IS A JOKE STEALER!!
-and I am calling him out! -

Now my husband is funny don't get me wrong, it is one of the reasons why I love him so much ( just don't tell him that I am funnier because then he will insist on a "joke-off") but until today I never realized that he is a classic joke stealer/reuser. Let me give you an example...

Ever seen these E-cards::

They always crack me up when people Pin them on Pinterest or post them on Facebook. What is the funniest of all however is when hubs says the following with a straight face::

Nice try hubster.

Since he could tell I was onto him he tried to say he was referencing the E-Card .... but I know better my dear sweet husband. I wonder how often he does this to other people all day who may be under the impression that he is coming up with this himself. LOL

Before you know it he will be using funnystatus.com for his facebook posts.

I'm just warning you people.

Your welcome.

** No feelings were hurt in the making of this post I secretly know he loves me telling the world  **
